Children

Registration and Check-In Upon arrival at Groesbeck Church, please proceed downstairs to our His Kids Ministry information area to check-in and/or register for all Sunday morning activities.  Once your child is checked-into our system, you will receive two ID stickers, one for your child and one for you to present when picking up your child.  Both stickers contain matching numbers and vital information for your child’s leaders.

Nursery/Toddler Room Child care is offered for children from birth through 24 months in our newly remodeled Nursery/Toddler Room during the 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. worship services. As a helpful reminder, please label all personal items with your child’s first and last name before arriving.  This helps us keep track of your child’s items.

Your Child’s Health We operate a well-baby nursery.  For the protection of all the children in our ministry, we are unable to accept a child with a runny nose, fresh cold (three days or less). Fever, rash, persistent cough, diarrhea or any other sign of illness.  We kindly request that you not place your child in the Nursery/Toddler room while they are at risk of exposing other children.  Thank you for helping us to keep our Nursery/Toddler room a healthy place for all.

His Kids Worship Children who are in pre-school through 3rd grade are welcome to attend His Kids Worship at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m., which coincides with both of the adult services we offer on Sunday mornings.  Through this energetic hour of worship, children experience God through dynamic Bible learning and engaging worship, all at their level.

WHIZ KIDS WHIZ KIDS is a program of City Gospel Mission offering hope for at-risk elementary school children by pairing them with a caring Christian adult to assist them in improving their reading skills. Training and all the supplies needed to tutor (not teach!) reading for one hour a week are provided. If you can read, you have a valuable resource to share! All you need is the desire to sit regularly with a deserving little soul.  You, as that committed, caring adult, can have a positive impact on the student’s prospect of succeeding. Reading is a life-changing skill!!

Over 60% of adults in the US prison system read at or below 4th grade level 85% of US juvenile inmates are functionally illiterate (Source: US Dept of Ed.2006)

Whiz Kids realizes that a permanent hope for these children comes from the local church pointing to Jesus Christ. Fun group activities, along with your school-year long commitment, may be what begin to introduce these students to our God and the hope they can have in Jesus Christ. WE NEED YOU! Groesbeck Church has partnered with WHIZ KIDS for four years and currently directs a tutoring site at Colerain Elementary. We need tutors!!!
