In 1982 Wendy caught a vision for world missions while working with International students at North Texas State University in Denton, Texas. Since that time she began making preparations to enter full-time cross-cultural ministry. This took her through 3 years of seminary, 7 years of full-time youth ministry, several short-term mission trips and finally in 1994 a full-time post in northwest Tanzania with Empowering Lives International.
Wendy has continued to minister in East Africa by teaching courses at Daystar University in Nairobi, Kenya, facilitating workshops to train youth leaders and to promote indigenous worship with Empowering Lives International, and to participate in various ministries of the Vineyard Christian Fellowship.

office has informed me that they cannot issue a tax deduction for checks with names on the front. When you are sending financial contributions to ELI and want to specify that it is for me, you can put #303 in the “for” section. (It is now possible to give online by going to www.empoweringlives.org)
